Supplier Verification Policy
Our verification framework is designed to improve marketplace trust, reduce procurement risk, and help buyers compare suppliers with clearer signals.
Verification Scope
Verification on Taragum.com is a trust signal, not a legal guarantee. It reflects documented checks completed at profile level and can change over time based on new evidence, inactivity, or unresolved disputes.
Step 1: Business Identity & Presence
- Legal entity name and registration consistency.
- Business contact validation (email and reachable phone).
- Website or digital footprint coherence with declared business activity.
Step 2: Product & Process Documentation
- Review of product descriptions, grade clarity, and specification quality.
- Availability of supporting files such as TDS, SDS, and sample COA formats.
- Traceability signals: lot references, packaging details, and shipping readiness.
Step 3: Compliance & Certification Signals
- Declared certificates (for example, ISO/HACCP/Halal/Kosher) are checked for presence and consistency.
- Certification badges indicate declaration and review status, not unconditional regulatory endorsement in every market.
Step 4: Marketplace Behavior Signals
- RFQ response timeliness and quote quality.
- Profile completeness and update frequency.
- Buyer feedback patterns and issue-resolution responsiveness.
Badge Levels (Operational Meaning)
- Verified Basic: identity and core profile checks completed.
- Verified Plus: documentation quality and consistency signals above baseline.
- Trusted: strong operational behavior over time with sustained quality signals.
Badge levels are periodically recalculated. A higher badge does not replace buyer-side QA, pilot testing, or contract controls.
Buyer Recommendation
Use badge level as one input among many. For strategic procurement, always run your own qualification workflow: sample approval, document verification, lot acceptance criteria, and trial orders before scale-up.
Dispute & Correction Process
If buyers detect inconsistencies, they can report concerns with evidence. Our team reviews submissions and may request clarifications, temporarily reduce visibility, or update badge status while a case is evaluated.
